Mora 2P 125A DC Circuit Breaker for compatible battery, inverter and DC distribution circuits. Confirm voltage, fault-current and polarity ratings before installation.

Description

The Mora 2P 125A DC Circuit Breaker is intended for compatible high-current direct-current circuits in selected battery, inverter, solar and DC distribution systems. Its two-pole design can disconnect both conductors when installed according to the marked wiring direction and polarity.

The 125A rating alone does not confirm suitability. A qualified electrician must verify the exact DC voltage, breaking capacity, prospective fault current, cable size, terminal limits and enclosure conditions before selecting this breaker.

Mora 2P 125A DC Circuit Breaker Features

  • 125A listed current rating
  • Two-pole DC circuit configuration
  • DIN-rail mounting format
  • Copper terminals as listed for this product
  • Suitable for selected battery and inverter circuits
  • Manual ON, OFF and trip operation
  • Over-current and short-circuit protection subject to exact model ratings

Older descriptions may mention a general 250V to 500V DC range. Do not use that statement as the product rating. The value printed on the exact supplied breaker must meet or exceed the calculated maximum circuit voltage.

Battery and Inverter Applications

The Mora 2P 125A DC Circuit Breaker may be used only after proper system selection because battery banks can deliver extremely high current during a short circuit. The breaker’s rated breaking capacity must exceed the available fault current at its installation point. Battery manufacturer requirements and inverter input-current specifications should also be checked.

For inverter circuits, calculate normal current from actual DC voltage and power, then account for efficiency, surge operation and continuous-duty requirements. An undersized breaker may trip unnecessarily, while an oversized breaker may fail to protect the cable.

Cable Sizing for a 125A Circuit

A 125A breaker does not make an undersized cable safe. Conductor material, insulation temperature, ambient heat, cable grouping, enclosure ventilation, run length and terminal capacity all affect safe ampacity. Required derating and voltage-drop limits must be applied.

Use properly crimped lugs and conductors that fit the terminals without cutting strands. Loose or poorly prepared connections can overheat even when current remains below the breaker rating.

DC Polarity and Arc Safety

DC arcs are difficult to extinguish because current does not naturally pass through zero like AC. Use the breaker only within its marked DC ratings and follow the line, load and polarity markings. Incorrect wiring can reduce interruption performance and create fire risk.

Never substitute an AC-only breaker. Installation and maintenance should be completed by a qualified solar or battery electrician with every source isolated and verified dead.

Protection Coordination

The Mora 2P 125A DC Circuit Breaker is not a replacement for a dedicated isolator where required, battery fuses, solar string protection, surge protection, earthing or approved shutdown procedures. A coordinated system may need several protection devices.

The breaker should be installed close enough to the source to protect the relevant conductor, while remaining accessible in a suitable enclosure. Exact placement depends on the system design and local requirements.

Installation Checklist

  • Confirm exact DC voltage and polarity
  • Calculate continuous and fault current
  • Verify breaking capacity
  • Check cable ampacity and voltage drop
  • Use correct lugs and terminal torque
  • Label the circuit and isolation points

Order the Mora 125A DC Breaker

Choose the Mora 2P 125A DC Circuit Breaker only after confirming its exact voltage, polarity and fault-interruption ratings for your battery or inverter installation.

Buying note: Match the breaker to the equipment manual and conductor rating, not only the 125A label. For solar or battery work in Pakistan, installation and commissioning should be completed by a qualified electrician after checking the actual product markings.
