Mora 2 Pole Volt Ampere Protection Device for compatible single-phase AC circuits. Monitor voltage and current with adjustable cutoff and delayed reconnection.

Description

Mora 2 Pole Volt Ampere Protection Device 63A

The Mora 2 Pole Volt Ampere Protection Device is designed for compatible single-phase AC distribution circuits that require both voltage and current monitoring. Its dual digital display provides convenient operating information, while adjustable protection settings allow the device to disconnect the connected load when selected voltage or current limits are exceeded.

After the supply returns to an acceptable condition, automatic reconnection can restore the circuit after the configured delay. This combination makes the Mora 63A protector useful for home distribution boards, offices, shops, selected appliance circuits and compatible solar inverter AC installations where sustained voltage fluctuation or excessive load current may be a concern.

Key Features

  • Two-pole configuration: intended for compatible single-phase line-and-neutral circuits.
  • 63A rated-current model: must be coordinated with the actual load, conductor capacity and upstream protection.
  • Dual digital display: shows measured supply voltage and load current at the distribution board.
  • Over-voltage cutoff: disconnects the circuit when sustained voltage exceeds the configured upper limit.
  • Under-voltage cutoff: isolates the load when voltage falls below the selected lower limit.
  • Overcurrent setting: supports current-based disconnection according to the selected setting and installation design.
  • Automatic delayed reconnection: restores power after acceptable conditions return and the selected delay is completed.
  • Adjustable parameters: lets a qualified electrician configure thresholds for the connected equipment.
  • DIN-rail mounting: integrates neatly into a compatible electrical distribution box.

Suitable Applications

The Mora 63A voltage and current protector can be considered for residential and office distribution boards, retail shops, small commercial circuits, compatible generator-backed supplies and selected solar inverter AC circuits. It may also suit correctly designed circuits for refrigerators, air conditioners, pumps or other equipment, subject to the equipment manufacturer’s requirements.

Motor and compressor loads may need a suitably rated contactor, overload relay or dedicated motor protection. Reconnection timing is especially important because an immediate restart after a brief supply interruption can stress some equipment. A competent electrician should select a delay that follows the connected appliance or machinery requirements.

Understanding the 63A Rating

The 63A marking describes the product’s rated-current class; it does not mean that every circuit can safely carry 63A. Safe current depends on conductor size, insulation, installation method, ambient temperature, terminal rating, upstream breaker and the continuous load. Never choose a higher rating simply to prevent nuisance operation, and never connect wiring that is not designed and protected for the expected current.

Important Protection Difference

This product monitors sustained voltage and current conditions, but it is not a replacement for every protective device required in a distribution board. A correctly selected MCB provides short-circuit and fault overcurrent protection. An RCCB or RCD provides earth-leakage protection, and a dedicated surge protective device is designed for short transient events associated with lightning or switching.

Sustained over-voltage and a transient surge are different electrical events. A safe installation may require this monitor together with an MCB, RCCB/RCD, SPD, proper earthing and—where required—a contactor. The devices should be coordinated as one complete protection system.

What to Check Before Ordering

  • Confirm the printed voltage and 63A rating on the actual product.
  • Check single-phase line-and-neutral compatibility and terminal arrangement.
  • Confirm the calculated load current and cable capacity.
  • Verify the upstream breaker and earth-leakage protection requirements.
  • Ensure the distribution box has sufficient DIN-rail and wiring space.
  • Check whether the connected load requires a contactor or motor protection.

Professional Installation Required

A qualified electrician must install and configure this device with the supply safely isolated. The installer should verify line and neutral connections, conductor size, terminal tightness, protective-device coordination and appropriate thresholds before energizing the final load. Operation and delayed reconnection should be tested safely after setup.

Display layout, menu labels and available setting ranges may vary by production batch. Follow the markings and instructions supplied with the actual unit. Contact HN Electric with your expected load, supply details and a clear distribution-board photo if you need selection guidance before ordering.

Mora 2 Pole Volt Ampere Protection Device FAQs

Does this protector replace an MCB, RCCB or SPD?

No. The Mora 2 Pole Volt Ampere Protection Device monitors sustained voltage and load-current conditions. Proper short-circuit, earth-leakage and transient-surge protection must be selected separately where required.

Can every circuit use the full 63A rating?

No. The safe current depends on cable size, installation method, terminal capacity, upstream protection and continuous load. A qualified electrician must calculate and coordinate the circuit rating.

Why is delayed automatic reconnection important?

The delay allows the supply to remain within the selected limits before the load is restored. Compressors, motors and sensitive equipment may require a manufacturer-specified restart delay.

Who should configure the voltage and current limits?

A qualified electrician should set the thresholds using the connected equipment requirements and verified supply conditions. Installation should follow the product markings and applicable electrical requirements; general standards information is available from the International Electrotechnical Commission.
