Mora 125A 2P DC MCCB Breaker for compatible high-current solar, battery and inverter circuits. Confirm voltage, breaking capacity and polarity before installation.
The Mora 125A 2P DC MCCB Breaker is a moulded-case circuit breaker intended for compatible high-current direct-current systems. It may be considered for selected solar PV, battery storage, inverter and DC distribution applications where correctly coordinated over-current and short-circuit protection is required.
This two-pole breaker can disconnect both conductors when wired according to its marked polarity and diagram. The 125A current rating alone is not enough to confirm suitability: system voltage, prospective fault current, breaking capacity, conductor size, terminal rating and installation conditions must all match the exact device label.
Mora 125A 2P DC MCCB Breaker Features
- 125A listed current rating
- Two-pole configuration for a compatible DC circuit
- Moulded-case construction for panel installation
- Intended over-current and short-circuit protection function
- Suitable for selected solar, battery and inverter circuits
- Copper contact or terminal construction as listed for this product
- Manual ON, OFF and trip indication
- Suitable enclosure and professional installation required

Do not rely on a general online voltage description. The exact rated DC voltage, utilisation category and breaking capacity printed on the supplied breaker must meet or exceed the calculated circuit requirements.
Where This DC MCCB Can Be Used
- Compatible battery-bank feeder circuits
- Solar PV DC distribution systems
- Selected inverter battery connections
- DC combiner or distribution panels
- Off-grid and backup-power systems
Application depends on the source. A battery bank can deliver extremely high fault current, while a solar string behaves differently under fault conditions. Protection must be selected from actual system calculations, not simply from the normal operating current.
125A Cable and Load Selection
A 125A breaker does not make an undersized cable safe. Continuous load, conductor material, insulation temperature, ambient temperature, grouping, enclosure ventilation and termination limits affect cable capacity. The electrician must apply the required derating and coordinate the breaker with the conductor and equipment manufacturer’s limits.
For battery systems, confirm the inverter’s maximum DC input current, battery manufacturer requirements and expected surge current. Nuisance tripping or failure to clear a fault can result from incorrect selection.
DC Polarity and Arc Safety
Direct current is harder to interrupt than alternating current because the arc does not naturally cross zero each cycle. Only use the breaker within its marked DC ratings and observe polarity where specified. Incorrect line/load direction or pole arrangement can reduce interruption performance and create a serious fire hazard.
Never open a high-current DC circuit under load unless the device is rated and intended for that operation. Installation and testing must be performed by a qualified solar or battery electrician using appropriate tools and personal protective equipment.
Protection Coordination
This MCCB is not a replacement for a dedicated DC isolator where required, solar or battery fuses, surge protection, earthing, cable protection or safe battery shutdown procedures. A complete installation may require several coordinated devices.
The breaker’s breaking capacity must exceed the available fault current at its installation point. If that value is unknown, it must be calculated or confirmed before the product is selected.
Installation Checklist
- Confirm exact DC voltage and polarity from the unit label
- Calculate continuous load and maximum fault current
- Verify breaking capacity and cable ampacity
- Use correctly sized lugs, conductors and enclosure
- Tighten terminals to the specified torque
- Label both sources and isolation points clearly
